Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 375F 190C
Add the shredded cheddar, cream, Dijon mustard, black pepper, garlic powder, and diced ham to a mixing bowl
Blend until thoroughly blended
Roll out each puff pastry sheet to a large rectangle about 1/8-inch thick on a lightly floured surface
To make a total of 12 squares, cut each puff pastry sheet into 6 equal squares
Put a generous amount of the ham and cheese mixture in the middle of each square of pastry
Enclosing the filling, fold each pastry square diagonally to form a triangle
To seal the pockets, press down on the edges using a fork
With some space between each, arrange the ham and cheese pockets on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper
For a golden finish, lightly brush the tops of the pockets with the beaten egg
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the pockets are golden brown and puffy, in a preheated oven
Before serving, take them out of the oven and allow them to cool slightly
Have fun To freeze for a later time, let the pockets cool fully before wrapping each one separately in plastic wrap and putting them in a freezer-safe bag or container
Put a date and label on the container
You can keep them in the freezer for a maximum of two months
