Ingredients:
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on baking sheets
Mix the oats, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together in a medium-sized bowl using a whisk
Softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar should all be mixed together in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
Adding the eggs one at a time and mixing them in is the next step
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing only until everything is well combined
Add the chocolate chips and chopped nuts and mix them in
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop large amounts of dough onto the baking sheets that have been prepared, leaving space between each one so that the dough can spread
After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the middles are still a little soft
Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way
With milk or your favorite hot drink, these big, chewy oatmeal cookies are great
